Elon Musk Suggests Replacing Twitter’s Bird Logo With ‘X’

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, announced on Sunday his plans to replace the social media platform’s iconic bird logo with an “X.”

In a tweet, Musk stated, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.” He added that the change could occur as soon as Monday if a satisfactory “X” logo is submitted.

Musk wants the new logo to be in Art Deco style, stating that it will symbolize the unique imperfections that make us all individuals.

This is the latest in a series of changes made by Musk since he took over the company last year.

Recently, Musk implemented restrictions on how many tweets users can view per day, claiming that it would help combat “data scraping” by tech companies and artificial intelligence programs. He believes data scraping artificially inflates companies’ valuations.

The tweet caps also serve to encourage users to subscribe to Twitter Blue, the platform’s paid service, which grants users the ability to view more tweets per day.
