Heir of Anheuser-Busch Seeks to Reacquire Brand from Parent Corporation

Billy Busch, the heir to the Anheuser-Busch brewing family, has expressed his desire to buy back the beer brand from its parent company. In a recent conversation with conservative podcast host Tomi Lahren, Mr. Busch stated that he wants to make the “brand great again.”

According to Mr. Busch, he believes that InBev, the company headquartered in Belgium, doesn’t understand their core drinker. He blames the recent marketing setbacks of the brand on the influx of woke politics, stating that when a foreign company relies on woke students from woke colleges to do advertising, it’s a big mistake.

This statement from the beer heir comes at a time when Anheuser-Busch has been facing a turbulent year. The company faced backlash after partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, causing many conservatives to boycott their beer.

Despite these issues, it is unlikely that InBev will sell Anheuser-Busch. While the brand suffered losses in North America, it saw healthy sales for other brands and improved revenue in Europe.

It remains to be seen if Billy Busch will successfully reacquire the family’s beer brand and fulfill his goal of making it great again.
